First a sediment filter removes any particles such as metals, dirt, grit and sand.
Second a Carbon Block Filter (CBC) removes chemicals such as chlorine, cysts such as giardia and cryptosporidium and other dissolved organics down to 1 micron and also removes lead.
Finally we use a Granulated Active Carbon Filter with a Scale Inhibitor to help improve the taste of the water and to reduce scale common when the water is 'hard'.
